Frequently Asked Questions
What is the difference between a Birth Coach & a Doula?
A Doula typically provides continuous physical & emotional support during labor and delivery. Their main focus is on comfort measures, advocacy and creating a calm birth environment. Many doula services are now being covered by insurance!
A Birth Coach I am offering a broader scope of support. I am here to help you prepare for birth well before labor starts! I bring over a decade of bedside clinical experience as a board certified Labor & Delivery RN, offering evidenced based insights and helping families navigate conversations with their healthcare providers from pregnancy through postpartum. I will customize your childbirth preparation with balance of prenatal yoga, infant CPR & safety training and strategies to optimize your delivery goals in a hospital based setting.
Are your services covered by insurance?
At this time, no. Investing in a birth coach is about ensuring a positive, empowering experience. Just like a wedding planner helps create a memorable wedding day or a personal trainer supports you in reaching your fitness goals, a birth coach ensures you are fully prepared and confident for one of the most significant moments of your life!
How can your packages be customized to fit my needs?
When you browse my offerings you will see that I have two main packages that provide key services like prenatal yoga and Infant Safety /CPR. Depending on your experience & priorities we can use your sessions to focus more on education or physical movement.
With my premium or essential packages you will also receive unlimited phone support throughout your pregnancy, labor and postpartum!
